Refrain from Sexual Misconduct
Ayurveda forbids any sexual activities which are not monogamous, faithful and heterosexual and which may cause anxiety, fear and disquiet and thus may lead to illness. Beliefs from ancient India suggest that overindulgence and any wasteful activities such as homosexuality, masturbation, oral or anal sex cannot produce healthy children for which the act is generally practiced. Ayurveda however accepts that all individuals are distinct with distinct sexual drives and thus it is up to the individual to judge what is most suitable for thyself and the partner.
Refrain from consuming Alcohol
Alcohol is regarded as Tamasic and is not usually recommended as it is harmful to the body and the mind. Ayurveda does also forbid the consumption of any intoxicating material which has an adverse effect on the normal functioning of the body and the mind.
Refrain from killing
All Ayurvedic treatments are vegetarian and Ayurveda believes that humans are the guardians of all other life forms, thus killing other creatures is wrong. Thus killing is a crime which is believed to cause suffering in the killer's Karmic life. However some Ayurvedic practioners may prescribe meat in an extreme case where the right kind of protein may be supplemented through that only.
